A few hours before the official signing day announcement was made by UTSA, LaGrange HS (Lake Charles, LA) defensive back Ja’Len James tweeted that he had just signed with the Roadrunners. The 5’10”, 175-pound multi-positional athlete earned all-district honors at three different positions following his final season.

We’re back! – Recruiting updates and more
Since I haven’t posted in over a month, I hope everyone has been following along on Rowdyville, Twitter, Coker Chronicles and all the other excellent sites out there, but in case you haven’t, I’ve put together recap of all that’s happened in the past month or so, which you can see after the jump. Recruiting Update (11/29/11)
For a UTSA staff still in search of their feature back after a disappointing performance from the running game all season, they may have found their answer in an ACC transfer coming home to play out his final collegiate season in the blue and orange. Current Georgia Tech running back and 2008 Reagan grad Marcus Wright is reportedly contemplating a move to UTSA for the 2012 season after his graduation in May.
After being used sparingly in his first three seasons at Tech, Wright was injured at the start of this season and chose to use his redshirt so that he could transfer with one year of eligibility remaining. The NCAA rules typically require a player to sit out in his first year after transferring from an FBS school to another FBS school, but because he is graduating in May, he could potentially be eligible to play for an FBS team in the 2012 football season. Wright racked up over 7,000 rushing yards in his three varsity seasons at Reagan and would be a welcome addition to a struggling UTSA backfield.
